CPCS Card
Every 5 yearsPlant operator competence card. Required to operate excavators, cranes, forklifts and other heavy plant on site.
First Aid at Work
Every 3 yearsAt least one qualified first aider required per site. Three-year certificate — easy to forget until it's expired.
Manual Handling
Every 3 yearsRequired training for any role involving lifting or carrying. Common audit flag when it lapses.
Asbestos Awareness
Annual refresherMandatory for anyone who may disturb asbestos during their work. Refresher training recommended annually.
DBS Check
~3 yearsRequired for roles working with vulnerable people. No fixed expiry but most employers re-check every 3 years.
