Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Head to the sign-up page and enter your name, email, and a password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account. You can start adding certificates straight away on the Free plan.

How do I add my first certificate?

From the dashboard, tap "Add Certificate". Pick a template (e.g. CSCS Card, Gas Safety CP12) or choose "Custom" to enter your own. Fill in the holder name, expiry date, and optionally upload a photo or scan. Hit save and it appears on your dashboard instantly.

What certificate templates are available?

Amberline includes templates for Construction (CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, CPCS, and more), Property (Gas Safety CP12, EICR, EPC, HMO Licence), Business (Public Liability, Employers Liability, MOT), Trades (Gas Safe, Part P, 18th Edition), and Childcare (Enhanced DBS, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding). You can also create a custom certificate for anything not listed.

Is there a mobile app?

Amberline is a mobile-first web app — it works beautifully in your phone's browser with no download required. Just visit amberline.app, sign in, and add it to your home screen for quick access.

What are the dashboard tabs?

Your dashboard has four tabs: Certificates (a searchable, filterable list of all your certs), Due Soon (certs expiring within 90 days grouped by urgency), Holders (certs grouped by person or property), and Calendar (a month view showing expiry dates).

How does the "Due Soon" tab work?

The Due Soon tab shows certificates expiring within the next 90 days, grouped by urgency: Overdue (already expired), This Week (0–7 days), This Month (8–30 days), and Coming Up (31–90 days). Empty groups are hidden. If nothing is due, you'll see an all-clear message.

What is the "Holders" view?

The Holders tab groups your certificates by the holder — the person or property the certificate belongs to. Each holder card shows a compliance summary with the worst status across their certificates. Tap to expand and see individual certs. You can search, filter by status, and sort by urgency, name, or number of certificates.

Can I filter and sort my certificates?

Yes. On the Certificates tab you can search by name or holder, filter by status (expired, expiring, valid), and sort by urgency, name, or expiry date. The overview stat boxes also act as quick filters — tap one to show only certificates with that status.
